Are you looking for audio books?

For those of us that are not familiar with the term, it relates to a recording that is primarily of spoken words rather then 'music'. This term can be used to describe audio recordings of a book but is not solely limited to this type of recording.

Audio books are typically recorded onto CD, DVD or can be available in mp3 form for iPod listening.

Audio Books are especially useful for people who are visually impaired. This is not the sole purpose of audio books. Unlike reading a book, listening to an audio book can be achieved whilst driving a car, travelling on public transport even if you do not have a seat, whilst cooking and can be listened to by multiple people at the same time. Many people also find that listening to information that is verbalised is a much more effective way to learn information when compared to reading text.
